MPL is an interactive mobile motorcycle parking resource designed for the Iphone. The app displays the location of every free and restricted parking bay across the city through a familiar map interface, contains the various restriction information, as well as providing directions to the desired spot.
Built using Xcode the app uses the apple maps interface, incorporating a search function together with satellite/standard views, allowing the user to see the area they wish to leave their motorcycle parked at. Once selected, information appears informing the street name and type of bay (free/restricted), a second tap reveals the details of given restrictions and the option to route to the selected bay. Time sensitive annotations help display which and when bays are free, and smart features notify the user if they are going to arrive within a restricted period.
