Visual master

research

Extensive research was conducted continually throughout the development of Visual Master. Research avenues included Synesthsia, human behaviour (introvert/extroverts) and exhibition design.

Branding

There were three keys words that I kept in mind whilst branding Visual Master. Fun, friendly and modern. It was extremely important that people of all ages and backgrounds felt as though they could interact and participate.

User Testing

From the outset I carried out user testing, it was important that users felt comfortable and understood how to interact with my project without the need of an explanation.

Visual Master - Interactive Installation was an independent project, exploring synesthesia through live visuals and music. Users have the ability to manipulate visuals by making music.

As the users play with the musical instruments the live visuals respond to the music. Users receive instant feedback as the instruments volume and frequencies alter the live visuals size, colour and orientation.

The puropse of this project was to explore Synesthesia a subject area that I am particularly intrested in. Projects exploring Synesthesia are vast – the topic has been richly explored and the content available was of both high quality and quantity. There were numerous projects that helped me develop my idea – and ultimately I feel as though I designed an installation that is both educational and fun.
