The Brief

This brief was a live brief set to me by the Police Search and Rescue team based in Coventry. The task I was set was to create an app which officers could use to fill in their search file forms and search log forms. These forms are currently complete using paper copies. The Police want this app to replace the current method in order to save time and money, it will also help them keep track of statistics from the app rather than sorting through various files.

The Outcome

I was aided with the paper forms that the Police would fill out when conducting a search job. This allowed me to see if there was any duplicated information throughout the paper copies which could be deleted when making the app. This in turn saves the Police time and money. The app allows an lead search advisor in the Police to fill out a search file and a search log for the upcoming jobs they have quickly and effortlessly. The officer can also add other search officers to the job and keep track of the hours each officer is on the job for. After everything is filled in the file will lock and won’t be allowed to have changes made as it could become a legal matter if anything is changed after the job is closed. Other features of the app include; health and contact profiles, search powers and officers license renewals.
